Roll your mouse over the thumbnail images to animate the big picture

I jury-rigged a telescope onto the cam yesterday, removing the original lens in the process. The new lense is made from two glass elements, and a cardboard tube. It seems that the cam now is sensitive to infrared light. The old plastic lens must have had an IR filter to make the colors look right. Now, the colors seem kind of wierd in general, but most amazing is looking at a person out the window wearing a black shirt, and seeing it appear as light blue on the webcam display!
