I thought it would be fun to make a set of blonde end panels for a DMX to see how they would look.
I found a piece of red oak that had already been planed to the correct 1/2 inch thickness.
I took it to the table saw and ripped one edge straight.

And then ripped it to the final width.
Then, I cut the pieces to the correct lengths.
A custom jig is used to make the angled cut.
The corners are rounded with a drum sander mounted on the drill press.
The edges are chamfered on the router table.
The pieces are hand-sanded smooth.
Holes are drilled using another special jig.
Two coats of oil stain were applied and rubbed out after a few minutes.
